Sew In Hair Extensions, Weft Length?

Hello. I have had hair extensions before, but always had someone buy my extensions for me. I bought some extensions on ebay and the weft is 3 feet long. I basically just want the hair for length, since I have thick hair. Is this long enough or should I buy another set? Im wondering what the normal standard is, can't find this info anywhere. Thanks guys!Sew In Hair Extensions, Weft Length?

  • I am considering hair extensions (weft/braided type). Can this be damaging to hair when removed?

I have had them in before and when they were removed I had a lot of hair fall out with them leaving my hair thinner than before. I did not have damaged hair before so I don't believe it was breakage. Is this a common? They braided very tight when she put them in and I am wondering if that wasn't the reason of the hair loss. Can anyone help?I am considering hair extensions (weft/braided type). Can this be damaging to hair when removed?
Well my hair never breaks off. It grows a lot.

if you had split ends when you took them out then did she snip your braids when she was done? If so she probably cut YOUR hair when she did this.

Make sure the braids arent too small. When they are too small it pulls on your hair and makes your hair fall out.I am considering hair extensions (weft/braided type). Can this be damaging to hair when removed?
Get the glue on ones because any real ones will make your hair fall out no matter now careful you are
Hi, I actually read this really good article about it, you'll find more useful information there I'm sure:

Hair extensions weft - where to get sewn in?

    Hi,

I am buying a hair extension weft, however I am not sure where is a good place in the North West to get these sewn in? The cheapest I have been quoted is 拢95!

Any help greatly appreciated.Hair extensions weft - where to get sewn in?
seriously dont do that... they are so painfull

you would be better getting clip in extentions or saving up for proper bonded ones...

Cutting a hair extension weft? too wide?

So I want to buy this: http://cgi.ebay.com/7-BLONDE-PINK-PURPLE鈥?/a>

As you can see, it's 7 inches long and 30 friggin inches wide...

Would it be okay to cut to any desired width? Would I have to seal the ends where I cut? How should I do that? I'm pretty sure I could put extra clips I would need on there with a glue gun... Can anyone give me some insight? Thanks ahead of time! :)Cutting a hair extension weft? too wide?
you just cut it with a scissor

heres some youtube vids where they glue on extentions

in this one they dont do the sides and she never posted a part 2 to show us but shes good at explaining how to put them in

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iVErqW7Z鈥?/a>

in this one she does the sides but there is no sound but after you watch the first vid i posted its kind of a no-brainer as to what shes saying

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uVH2v9NcK鈥?/a>

and i havent watched the entire one of this one but she seems pretty legit too (and theres actually sound haha)

ye i suppose you could but yes you could need to seal the end.

sew it if you can because the top will be sewn, and sew on the extra clips if possible as that it how they will probably be attached at the moment :)

    Whats and hair extension weft?

Your Question is a LITTLE Vague !

But try http://www.hairextentions.com or or hairquestions.com or hairproducts.comWhats and hair extension weft?
Strands of hair which have been sewn along one edge to create a line of hair.

Hand Tied: The wefts have been pre cut to approximately 10 inch pieces and have been sewn by hand to make the smallest wefting possible for the most invisible look. Pieces should not be cut or they will unravel. The smallness of the Hand tied weft is great for weaving. Hand tied hair can be cut from the weft to use for fusions.

Regular weft: this hair is not cut into pieces but is one continuous weft that can be cut. The weft is slightly larger than the hand tied. Our remi hair regular weft is also a very flat nice small weft. Hint: To help against shedding after you cut the weft add some bonding glue on the edges.

Removing glue from hair extension weft.?

I've been buying my own wefts of hair extensions and gluing them in myself for a couple of years now, but because they get loose every couple of weeks I take them out and re-do them. Because of this, there ends up being a huge buildup of glue on the top of the weft and they don't stick in as strongly. Does anyone know how I can remove the glue? I can't pick it off as I've tried before and it only pulls off in little tiny tiny bits and it would be impossible to do it all.Removing glue from hair extension weft.?
ok so what i used to do when i wore them was when they were getting loose and tatty i soaked my hair, put on tons of conditionerr rubbing it where extensions are, wait about 20mins then slide the extensions out then comb my hair through with a really fine toothed comb, it just slides out the glue, good luck,,,, ohhh and also you can buy little pots (like the glue) that dissolves the glue!! ive never had a problem my way though.

ADD: ok so i missed the point of the question here,,, so the glue is on the actual weft?? well if that is the case then i would buy some of the glue dissolvant, its quite cheap i think it costs the same as glue actually.... sorry bwt the above .... good luckRemoving glue from hair extension weft.?
I am having the same issue? What is the product called that will remove the build up of glue off of the weft? I just keep having the buy new wefts every couple week b/c the glue gets so thick on the weft!

Hair extensions...wefts vs hair extensions What is your experience?

I am considering extensions. I have read though they get tangled. Do wefts look and act real? What do you like better?Hair extensions...wefts vs hair extensions What is your experience?
I've only tryed the glue in extenstions and its a nightmare you bet your hair gets tangled takes me 45 mins. to get them out and your head hurts and neck from being cramped up trying to take it out. I'm going to try another kind instead of the glue ones. Hopefully it will be better. but not sure. I also use human hair not the synthetic kind. you pay more but looks nicer. . and forget about thinking its just the conditionar shampoo i've tryed it all even specialty ones from the salons they stilll get tangled.Hair extensions...wefts vs hair extensions What is your experience?
lol yeah my friends say the same thing about me i don't beat around the bush

Where did your hair tangle the most... in the middle, towards the ends, or more toward the scalp? Also, what type are you getting now?

    hot topic.

Can you glue hair extension wefts together?

For example instead of gluing one weft to my hair and then another one above it, can I glue a weft to a weft and just attach the one? And what glue would I use, the regular extension glue? or hot glue or something. Can you glue hair extension wefts together?
I would recommend sewing the wefts together rather than glue, BUT make sure the weft isn't doubled wefted anyway make sure it is single wefted. This is because more then two wefts are too heavy for your hair and it will damage it.

You can tell which type of weft you have by checking the sewn edge, does it have a bump or is it flat? if it has a bump it is doubled wefted. Can you glue hair extension wefts together?
HAIR BONDING GLUE AND YES BUT IT LOOKS MORE NATURAL WITH THE SINGLE WEFTS
    i would think so

however you might ask a beauty shop first

How do I take care of hair extension wefts AFTER they have been removed from my hair?

I had hair extensions put in my hair for a weekend because of an event and have removed the extensions. They were glued in with Proclaim bonding glue. I used the Proclaim remover oil and the Proclaim reconditioning shampoo and my actual hair is fine. However there is still glue on the hair wefts and I'm wondering the best way to get rid of all that to save the extensions for future use.How do I take care of hair extension wefts AFTER they have been removed from my hair?

go to a hair salon and ask them for some advice. i have never needed to use extensions because i have really long hair. but ya thats all i can tell ya. hope this works.
Consult with the styliest who put them in for you for SAFE and accurate removel.

hold your blow dryer up to the wefts, that should soften the glue and it should peel right off
